Dr. Muhammad Yunus is a renowned Bangladeshi social entrepreneur, banker, and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. He is best known for founding Grameen Bank in 1983, which pioneered the concept of microcredit—providing small loans to impoverished individuals without requiring collateral. This innovative approach has helped millions of people in Bangladesh and around the world escape poverty.

Yunus was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006, shared with Grameen Bank, for their efforts to create economic and social development from below. He has also been involved in various other ventures and initiatives aimed at social and economic development.
